With former President Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle of Chile attending, FKI organized Korea-Chile Business Forum and a luncheon meeting to discuss ways to promote trade between the two countries amid uncertainties such as Britain's decision to exit the EU, known as Brexit.

In his welcome remarks, Chairman Young Ju Park of Eagon Industrial said, "Since the effectuation of the Korea-Chile Free Trade Agreement in 2004, the volume of bilateral trade has roughly quadrupled. The outcome eloquently showcases the first successful FTA between an Asian country and a Latin American country."

At the luncheon business meeting following the forum, FKI Chairman Chang Soo Huh stressed, "With growing uncertainties on the international front including Brexit, both economies need to maintain ever-firmer cooperative ties in the days to come."
